About Shane Bennett

I am a people-first leader who engages teams, empowers decisions, and elevates performance. Over the past 18+ years, I’ve led operations and projects in fast-paced, safety-critical environments. I’ve guided cross-functional teams, improved reliability, delivered complex capital work, and helped teams navigate change with clarity and confidence. What ties it all together for me is simple: people, process, and performance. When you build trust, set clear direction, and follow through, you set the stage for real results. One of the things I’m most proud of is starting a Grade 10 Trades Program Tour in partnership with local high schools. I coordinate hands-on site visits, allow students to speak with genuine tradespeople, and help them see what a future in the skilled trades could look like. It’s about building a talent pipeline, sparking early interest, and creating meaningful succession into the next generation of our workforce. I’m also a firm believer in lifelong learning. I hold a PMP certification, a First Class Power Engineering certificate, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and am currently completing an MBA. Professional development is about staying sharp, leading by example, and always finding ways to grow. I’ve worked with frontline crews, senior executives, contractors, and community partners. I speak both boardroom and boots-on-the-ground. Whether we’re solving a technical challenge or navigating change, I lead with clarity, curiosity, and collaboration.
