About Shariar Mannan

I have more than 20 years of experience in the fields of Governance, Institutional capacity building of CSOs to participate in the decision-making process, Gender and Social Equity, Women and Youth Leadership development, Women empowerment and Gender-based violence, Poverty alleviation, Rural Development, Human rights violation issues, and Promoting peace by preventing violent extremism. My knowledge has been enriched mostly by working in the development programs of CIDA, EU, GCERF, JICA, SDC, FCDO and USAID, while the implementing organizations are CARE Bangladesh, BIVA, CODEC, Plan International Bangladesh, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation etc. Expertise in: Planning, management and implementing programs, partnership development and partnership management, grant-making and grant management, capacity building of Local Government Institutions and Civil Society Organizations, budgeting and financial management, strategic direction and implementation of partnership programming with NGOs, CBOs, and Govt. agencies, adaptive program management and integration of gender equity in program implementation, etc. Experience and Skills in: Designing training and development of training modules, conflict-sensitive program management, evidence-based advocacy from local to national level, fundraising and managing call for proposal, Political economy and power analysis (PEPA), supporting baseline-midline-endline studies, M&E and reporting, formation and functioning of networks and CSO platforms, supporting audit and facilitating project closing functions.
