As a qualified Actuary (FASSA) with over 13 years of experience across healthcare, insurance, and public sector environments, I specialise in strategic actuarial leadership, predictive analytics, benefit design, product pricing, and technical marketing. I currently lead the Actuarial Quantification and Claims Risk function at the Road Accident Fund (RAF), overseeing more than 40 actuarial professionals across three specialist departments. My work spans claims and liability valuations, reserving, risk management, and corporate actuarial functions - supporting the RAF’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and long-term strategic objectives. Throughout my career, I have held leadership and consulting roles at Medshield Medical Scheme, NetcarePlus, Momentum Metropolitan, Deloitte, and PwC, equipping me with broad industry insights and a passion for driving actuarial innovation. Alongside my technical expertise, I actively contribute to actuarial education as a Board Examiner for the Actuarial Society of South Africa and am advancing my strategic capabilities through MBA studies, focused on competitive strategy and digital innovation.
