About Shereen Daniels

Dr Daniels is one of the UK’s leading experts on human resources and tackling systemic racism, particularly anti-Blackness, within complex organisations. As Managing Director of HR rewired, she heads a specialist advisory firm that supports institutions to integrate focused anti-racism and racial equity efforts into strategy, governance, and workforce transformation. Her impact spans continents, guiding institutions across the UK, US, South Africa, India, Brazil, Namibia, Botswana and Australia. Shereen holds a Doctor of Professional Studies by Public Works (DProf), through which she critically interrogates how systemic racism affecting Black employees is sustained through organisational and individual resistance and well-intentioned but often uninformed DEI practices. By centring Blackness, her work exposes and challenges the cultural, psychological, and structural mechanisms that allow racial inequity to continue, despite initial widespread public commitments and pledges for change. A bestselling author of The Anti-Racist Organization: Dismantling Systemic Racism in the Workplace, which has gone on to sell over copies worldwide, Shereen’s insights and commentary have been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Vogue Business, BBC Worklife and The Drum. She was named HR Magazine’s Most Influential Thinker in 2021, inducted into the HR Hall of Fame in 2022, and is a three-time LinkedIn Top Voice. Her firm, HR rewired, was named HR Consultancy of the Year in 2023 and 2024. Shereen is also an alumni of Operation Black Vote and has previously held trustee roles for elective and non-elective schools and a regional branch of Women’s Aid, a charity supporting women and children who have been victims of domestic abuse.
