About Shereen Shukri

After a fulfilling career break dedicated to supporting my spouse’s relocation and raising our family, I am eager to re-enter the education field. During this time, I established a home-based play school for my children and their friends, cultivating a collaborative learning environment that nurtured their growth and development. This experience honed my organizational and multitasking skills as I designed engaging activities that promoted creativity and interaction among young learners. In addition, I volunteered at an expatriate school, where I assisted in both the classroom and library. This role enriched my communication skills and deepened my understanding of diverse educational needs and practices. I am also proud to represent Malaysia in the annual Walk of Nations, a community project that has further enhanced my commitment to cultural exchange and community involvement. To strengthen my teaching abilities, I completed a Jolly Phonics course, equipping myself with effective strategies for supporting early literacy development. I also attended a sewing school, which further developed my skills and passion for sewing and crafts. Alongside my educational endeavors, I run a small business focused on sewing and crafts. I promote my projects on Instagram and participate in small fairs, allowing me to nurture my creativity, develop entrepreneurial skills, and build connections within my community. I am excited to leverage these experiences as an Educator, where I can inspire and empower students while contributing to a positive learning environment. I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals and exploring new opportunities in the education sector. In addition to my teaching experience, I have a background as a Cabin Crew Member, where I developed exceptional customer service skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. This experience has further enriched my ability to communicate effectively and manage diverse needs, which I believe are invaluable in the education sector.
