With over 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, I am a passionate and skilled Actuarial Analyst who strives to deliver high-quality data, analysis, and filing support for property insurance projects. I am a certified SAFe Agilest who embraces agile principles and practices to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. I am also a lifelong learner who constantly seeks to update my knowledge and skills in the fields of editing and proofreading. I am proud to work for USAA, a company that shares my values of service, loyalty, honesty, and integrity, and that empowers me to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.In my current role as an Actuarial Analyst at USAA, I leverage my technical and analytical skills to compile, research, prepare, and validate data and filing support for various property insurance studies, projects, and reviews. I interact with company and staff for technical requests, lead meetings to explain timelines and deliverables, respond to state objections, and collaborate with team members to resolve issues and escalate when needed. I use my leadership and coaching skills to support the Labs Innovation 2020 initiative, where I led a member idea innovation challenge analysis, a data audit and cleaning effort, a podcast marketing and analysis plan, and a tech chat podcast interview.I also apply my training, management, and insurance skills from my previous role as a licensed senior insurance professional at USAA, where I was a homeowners insurance transition champion, a new-hire insurance team leader, and a licensed insurance representative.
