Als vierdejaars student aan de School voor Journalistiek behaalde hij zijn propedeuse, liep hij stage bij NBS Television in Oeganda en werkte hij drie jaar als sportjournalist voor BDU Media. Onlangs rondde hij zijn specialisatie Cross Border Journalism af, gericht op internationale verslaggeving. In 2023-2024 was Siem actief op het sociëteitsschip ‘De Oude Buis’, waar hij deel uitmaakte van het bestuur van de Utrechtse Studenten Zeilvereniging Histos. Siem is doortastend, gefocust en daadkrachtig. Hij heeft een brede interesse in internationale actualiteit en politiek, en staat altijd open voor nieuwe uitdagingen. As a fourth-year student at the School voor Journalistiek, he obtained his propaedeutic diploma, completed an internship at NBS Television in Uganda, and spent three years working as a sports journalist for BDU Media. He recently completed his specialization in Cross Border Journalism, focusing on international reporting. In the 2023–2024 academic year, Siem served on the board of the Utrecht Student Sailing Association Histos, helping manage the sociëteitsschip ‘De Oude Buis’. Siem is driven, focused, and decisive.
