I am a third-year university student at MUN with a passion for tackling complex problems and a keen interest in applied mathematics and computer science, particularly in data analytics. My educational journey is complemented by a strong desire to give back to the community that I came from, especially by teaching and explaining mathematical concepts to the youth as a volunteer at Pathways to Education. I've had the privilege of working with brilliant minds at Brilliant Labs, where I honed my skills as a STEM mentor, guiding campers through intricate problems and nurturing their interest in STEM concepts. Witnessing these young individuals grasp challenging concepts brought immense satisfaction and reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education as someone who received the Schulich Scholarship from a small, underrepresented town called Spryfield. Furthermore, I gained invaluable experience at IBM as part of the 'Synthetics' project. Here, I contributed to emulating user behavior on websites to ensure optimal webpage functionality. This project not only deepened my understanding of data analytics and computational methodologies but also sharpened my problem-solving and teamwork abilities by using tools like Slack to regularly meet with colleagues. I am enthusiastic about continuing to learn, grow, and apply my skills to solve real-world problems, with a dream of blending my passion for education, math, and computer science to create meaningful impact. I believe in the potential of every individual, regardless of where they come from. I'm committed to using my knowledge and experiences to foster an environment where everyone can thrive.
