About Simon Aoyama

I am a program manager and former scientist with expertise in discovery and development of innovative drugs. While working across many therapeutics areas and modalities, I have consistently demonstrated the ability to execute at a high level under time and resource constraints. I deeply enjoy the challenge of working with teams to develop strategies and tactics to solve complex problems and executing on them to progress drugs out of discovery and into and through the clinic. I have experience working as a PM on early stage discovery programs as well as those in multi-country phase I and II clinical trials.In addition to my leadership in program management, I have a strong track record of driving scientific, business development, and corporate development initiatives. These include data room preparation, alliance management, competitive intelligence, target/disease landscaping, and investor/BOD level communications.I have worked with small molecules (including bifunctionals/induced proximity), biologics (including mAbs, bispecifics, and ADCs), and natural products.I have experience working in oncology, metabolic disease, and inflammation/immunology.
