About Simon Buehring

Since starting my IT career in 1988, I’ve had the pleasure of working in South East Asia as the Technical Director of a fast-expanding software outsourcing company, teaching I.T. and business subjects at a foreign university in HCMC, Vietnam, and working as a project manager for the BBC and HSBC. During my 30 years of professional experience I have worked on projects in a variety of roles. Like many project managers, I worked my way up from a technical position to take on more responsibilities. I have a particular interest in assisting organizations improve their project management capability, to enable them to manage projects more consistently, thus achieving measurable returns on investment. To this end, I setup Knowledge Train in 2005 in order to provide organizations with the skills and understanding to achieve better project outcomes. Since then, I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel around the world delivering PRINCE2 training to individuals and businesses which have sought to improve their project management capability. I regularly write ebooks and articles on project management, PRINCE2, change management, agile, business analysis, ITSM and DevOps. I am actively involved in overseeing the development of Knowledge Train’s courses and take great pride in ensuring the company matches my own ethical values of integrity, fairness, innovation, diversity, quality and social responsibility. As a company we regularly donate to charity because with so many challenges ahead, the world requires citizen’s active engagement to ensure a better world for our children.
