A 20 year veteran of the clinical research / pharma-services industry, Simon has remained at the forefront of leveraging new technologies and business models to accelerate organizational growth in this highly regulated industry. From deploying some of the first compliant cloud DDC solutions to helping build some of the most innovative and agile companies in the industry, Simon's focus on quality, scalability, and innovation, allows him to repeatedly deliver measurable value to all organizations with whom he partners. Having held senior positions in the Central IRB, IRO/Site Network, and CRO segments, Simon has a unique & broad perspective coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit. He has been involved with many digitization/digital transformation initiatives including eConsent, CTMS, eSource, EMR/EHR analytics/AI, DTCs and more. He led one of North America’s largest Central IRBs, implementing industry first cloud-based systems from finance through to clinical operations. He led business operations through AAHRP accreditation & system validation and quality management / QMS initiatives. Simon’s work on numerous mergers and acquisitions as a key contributor and leader in negotiations, due diligence & integration, has earned him the respect of private equity firms. He has been invited to identify new acquisition targets, provide operational analysis & planning strategies on multiple investment projects, board member, and has been engaged as an industry expert by most of the “Big 3" strategy firms. As a strategist and operator, Simon sees the big picture and is able to create and implement strategies to increase overall organizational efficiencies and build significant enterprise value & EBIDTA margins. Simon has continued applying his unique and broad experience in the professionalizing research sites, having successfully guided and advised on the launch of the industry’s second largest site network/IRO. He has built strategic partnerships with many of the largest CROs and Sponsors, and formed industry-first public/private partnerships to support research. By combining his strong business background and network, creative vision and deep understanding of new and emerging technologies, he is able to provide innovative solutions and thoughtful leadership.
