About Simona Selvaggi

My mission is to achieve efficiency, whether this goes from optimizing company flows or deriving from direct and indirect cost reduction. Rationalization, lean design, modularity and standardization are my guidelines. The methodical and rigorous approach to reducing and, where possible, eliminating waste ("muda") is my distinctive element. I have worked throughout my professional career in managerial roles within the technical departments, dealing first with structural sizing of complex machine tools and then with their design, with a view to the product range, going from optimizing the modules necessary for their realization, in order to minimize management costs along the entire company flow and product life cycle. Simplification and management of complex product matrices has been one of my main tasks. The awareness of the great impact that complexity management has on business costs has always been my primary engine. The great experience gained in the rationalization of projects and product families has led me in recent years to become Cost Reduction Manager of machine design and mechanical components. Moving from the optimization of the structures before and the design after, to arrive at the optimization of costs, my focus has always been Cost Reduction. Joining ERA has allowed me to open my horizons to all companies, making available to them the experience acquired along my professional route and supporting them in identifying the optimal ways to achieve efficiency and obtain liquid assets.
