About Simone de Prosperis

19 years of experience gained in the Civil Engineering in Oil & Gas Industry working for different sizes and typologies of Projects: LNG, Oil Refinery, etc. and with different Project Contracts as Proposals, Feeds and EPCs, including site. I have been recruited in Technip Italy on March 2006 as a Civil Drafter to grow up as Civil and Underground Leader for a whole Revamping Refinery in Egypt, one of the most complex Project executed by Technip in terms of revamping activities. Currently involved in a huge LNG Project with EPC Contract, located in Qatar where I’m doing the Underground Leader for the entire Project. My current role is to take care about the homogenization of the design done by the different Eng. Subcontractors (Operating Centers), Quality Checks, relations with Client, Model Review, Technical Review and Problem Solving, interfacing with other Engineering Disciplines (like instrument, electrical, process, HSE, etc.) One of the most important EPC Projects I worked for is Expansion of Midor Refinery where I’ve been in charge of different key roles for more than five years as total experience. I started as Senior Designer in Rome Office during the engineering phase and I moved after few months to Egypt to develop the Underground issuance of Documents produced by an EPC Subcontractor called ENPPI’ s in their offices. One year later, I have been moved to Barcelona to follow up the issuance of Civil and Underground Documents related to (W.W.T. and Utilities Units, supporting Barcelona Operating Center to respect the targets in terms of design quality and timing for Construction drawings issuance. Nine months later, I moved to Site where I have been in charge of Civil and Underground Field Coordinator for more than 2 years and half. During the last years I learned a lot of things working with different cultures and with different roles. I worked close with Clients, trying to respect all the Contracts requirement and satisfy their expectations in terms of design quality and time deliveries. Key attributes are- Excellent skills in communicating at different levels of the Project chain- Excellent skills in cooperating and coordinating differentiated teams (cultures and numbers)- Very good capacity to evaluate Contract requirements- Very good skills in facilitating the exchange of information within different departments- Very good resilience in working under pressure- Capacity to listen and improve the team performances- Excellent skills to do the technical selection of materials to be used for Civil / UG applications.
