About Simone Sebben
I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering obtained in 1996 from McGill University, Canada. In 1998 I started working with aerodynamics in the CFD group at Volvo Cars where I worked as a Senior CFD Engineering in Aerodynamics for many years. My work was mostly within R&D. I am a member of the ECARA CFD group (European Car Aerodynamics Association). Much of my research has been dedicated to understanding the wheel aerodynamics, effects of cooling drag and wake optimization. In 2011 I started as an Adjunct Prof. at the Applied Mechanics Department at Chalmers helping to supervise a number of PhD students in the field of aerodynamics and thermal management. In August 2014 I became Manager of the Division VEAS (Vehicle Engineering and Autonomous Systems). After 17 years at Volvo, I started full time at Chalmers in February 2016 as an Associate Professor in Aerodynamics and division manager.
