A native of Charleston, Simons received a B.A. in Business Economics, Cum Laude from Wofford College in 2008 where she was also a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Prior to founding Art by Simons and pursuing a career as an Artist, Simons was Director of Business Development for Route 2 Capital Partners. As Director of Business Development, her role encompassed fundraising, marketing, and deal sourcing. Prior to joining Route 2 Capital Partners, Simons lived in New York City and was an Assistant Vice President of Investor Relations at Crescent Capital Group, a below investment grade fixed-income platform with over $25 billion of assets under management across various credit-oriented strategies. Before joining Crescent in 2014, Simons worked in the marketing group at Apollo Global Management, a leading alternative asset management firm with over $230 billion of assets under management across private equity, real-estate, credit and distressed assets. Prior to joining Apollo in 2009, Simons was a client service specialist at RBC Bank in Charleston, South Carolina.
