About Siyanda Dube

I hold a National Diploma in Financial Accounting, a certificate in Municipal Financial Management Program Certificate and Advanced Diploma in Public Administration (Finance Stream) at UWC while furthering my studies with a Postgraduate Diploma in accounting at DUT. Furthermore, With over 5 years of experience in finance and Municipal experience, of which 3 years are in middle Management positions. I have successfully managed finance functions across Setsoto Municipality and optimized business processes to help the Municipality achieve and accelerate revenue growth through systems transformation and innovative financial insights. I believe my skills and expertise would hence make me an ideal candidate for the job. In my prior capacity as a Senior Bank Recon at Setsoto Municipality, I was able to stop unauthorized debit order payments, curb the unauthorized Expenditure which happened and resulted in accountability being made on the individuals. While in the Expenditure division, I contributed to the development of the Policy on Avoidance of Irregular, Unauthorized, Fruitless, and Wasteful Expenditure. This emerged as the AG raised a high increase in the UIFW. My role also significantly involved supporting the CFO and the Manager Expenditure. This year has seen me being appointed to serve as the Finance Risk Champion and to assist the Chief Risk Officer with ways that the institution can mitigate the risk that we are faced with in the whole institution. Leading people is my passion, I am skilled at inspirationally motivating teams to top performance, I have been able to make the Expenditure team work closely and support each other in the department something that has not happened in 10 years in the section, and this is evidenced by having to train or assist other sectional heads to form a unity in their sections.
