About Sofia Blomquist
Graduate from Karolinska Institute with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science, and following work licence given by the Swedish National Board of health and wellfare. Currently working part time at Adr-ac with serological allergy testing, using ImmunoCap and EliA methods as well as allergy screening using ISAC. I am also using EliA for the detection of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. When not in Bern I am working part time at Test and Go in Zürich taking naso-pharyngeal and oro-pharyngeal swabs aiding with the diagnostics of COVID-19. Also taking venous blood for analysis of SARS-CoV-2 immunity. Other experiences include clinical diagnostics of different types of Porphyria and lysosomic diseases. Work methods include; ion exchange chromatography, enzyme kinetics, cell culturing of fibroblast and ammniotic cells, PCR and genetic sequencing.
