Presently working at the Research group of Stem Cell and Developmental Neurobiology VIB -Center for brain and disease research, KU Leuven Full-time I have several skills acquired such as - Planning - Working independently and in group - Having productive discussions - Prioritizing - Providing guidance to others - Being critical - Able to communicate clearly I have a varied package of responsibilities- Responsible for Health and safety in the lab- HSE - Member of the animal welfare board at the institute - Lab managing - Training and guiding starters ( PhD, postdocs and students)- Writing SOP's and guides - Molecular Biology - Animal micro-surgery (eye, vascular, abdominal and intra-uterine)- Animal imaging - Stock managing of disposables and chemicals- FELASA certificate. Techniques in the lab- Molecular labwork: maxi-prep, genotyping, gel electrophoresis, PCR- Mice work: General handling, mating, perfusions, genotyping, working with immune deficient mice, maintaining the mice in the online system.
