Passionate about and currently researching aspects of best practice counselling approaches, in schools, organisational and private settings. Currently a Lecturer for the Master of Counselling at Monash University. Registered Professional Supervisor and clinical level 4 Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Experienced professional supervisor for allied health professionals (counsellors, psychotherapists and school psychologists) and organisations. Clinical Supervision accredited trainer. Experienced workshop facilitator, trainer and presenter. Researcher and consultant in kindness education, mental health and therapy outcomes in schools, medical and private practices. Expert evaluator of youth-based mental health programs delivered in schools and not-for-profit settings. Board member/ Co-Founder of Kind Schools launched in 2022. Advisory Board member for Resilient Youth Australia. Previous Director of Counselling and Psychology at Woodleigh School (2006-2016) managing the psychological services and team of therapists across 3 campuses. I love working with children, adolescents and families to support them in their well-being and mental health outcomes, having worked in varied educational settings, both in Australia and overseas. Lecturer and assessor in all aspects of the professional counselling process and modalities including Person Centred, CBT, REBT, ACT, SFBT, MI, Narrative Therapy approaches and Legal/ Ethical frameworks. Open to discussions that enhance the professional and positive outcomes for clients/therapists in the helping professions.
