I am currently the Great Lakes Policy Specialist for the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB), a tribal government with offices in Harbor Springs. As the GLPS, I research pending environmental policies that potentially affect the ecological integrity of the Great Lakes and/or impact tribal treaty rights. I write comment letters typically directed to other government agencies regarding the aforementioned policies. I work to implement the 2012 Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement by representing LTBB in collaborative multi agency workgroups that coordinate Great Lakes restoration, research and monitoring. I also provide outreach, typically in the form of video production. Before accepting this position, I gathered about 6.5 years of experience in fisheries and wildlife research as a research technician. I have done a considerable amount of freelance video production since 2017. I also am a devoted fly fisherman and in 2020 I had 3 IGFA world records approved for fly fishing.
