About Srishti Arora

Experimental Soft-Matter Physicist with 10+ years of experience of working with complex fluids and soft gels under extreme mechanical stresses probing intricate dynamics between hydrodynamic instability and non-trivial rheology.• Skills - Adept in synthesis and stabilization of colloidal particles with various shape anisotropies, stiffness, and stabilization-Investigated in depth the behavior of transient self-assembled (surfactant micelles and surfactant-stabilized microemulsion reversibly linked by telechelic polymer) and permanently crosslinked polymeric gels- Characterization techniques: X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), adsorption studies (BET analysis)- Confocal-rheology, Rheology (shear and extensional), Confocal and Optical microscopy, High-speed imaging-Preparation of polymeric thin films using spin coating, thin films by thermal evaporation, and RF-sputtering- Computational and data analysis software: Matlab (Image Processing), ImageJ, Origin Lab.• Mentoring - Engaged a diverse range of students through a positive and active learning environment that nurtures their intellectual and social wellness- Committed to promoting female participation in STEM
