Currently I serve as the District Superintendent of the South District of the United Methodist Church. The South District, comprising the southernmost counties of Illinois, consists of 129 churches, and is one of the five Districts within the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church. In addition to supervising the 129 churches and ministers in the Cache River District, I also have a heart for apologetics, missions (particularly to Nicaragua) and teen & college ministry. Prior to entering Princeton Theological Seminary, I served for sixteen years as a prosecuting attorney in New York City and southern Illinois. As an attorney I tried to completion 113 jury trials and over 300 bench trials, of which 65 were homicide trials.
