About Stefania Capone

Stefania Capone is a highly motivated and experienced scientist who spent most of her career in biotech and pharmaceutical industry, with a key role in the preclinical and early clinical development of new candidate vaccines based on viral vectors platform. The focus of her training is in immunology, with emphasis on the study of T cell responses in animal models and in humans. As a researcher, her work was characterized by autonomy and by a passion for data elaboration and interpretation. As lab head, over the years she acquired strong leadership skills and a clear disposition to the training of young scientists. As a manager, she highly values discussion and advice, but takes independent decisions and action if needed. She has experience in compiling regulatory documents (investigator’s brochure and clinical trial protocols) and in interactions with regulatory agencies.
