About Stella Buchanan

I'm a third year at UC, graduating this Spring. Throughout my time here, I have loved meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning new things. Each year, I have tried to do something that both scares and excites me.As a freshman, I had no friends from high school that came to UC, so I met my roommates on Facebook and made all new friends. I thrived on putting myself out there and forming new connections. In the Spring of my freshman year, I enrolled in a group fitness instructor prep course. I attended several classes a week for the entirety of the semester and got certified to instruct. I proceeded to instruct strength workout classes multiple times a week, starting that Summer. My sophomore year I balanced my schedule as a full time student, group fitness instructor, and sales associate at a boutique. Managing my time was essential to succeed in school, work, and my social life. I spent the Spring semester applying and preparing to Study abroad in Turin, Italy. From the end of May 2023-early August 2023, I was studying at the University of Torino- School of Management in Italy. This was the most incredible experience and it taught me so much about myself and my ability to adapt.This year, I found out I have enough credits to graduate a year early. I have been focusing on my classes and continuing to work 15-20 hours a week at the boutique. In the fall, I was a TA for a gender and communication course as well. I also became a foster mom to some kittens from the Cincy Animal CARE shelter.
