Over the past few years, there has been numerous challenges for businesses and organisations in Australia, when it comes to the myriad of compliance around Human Resources and industrial relations matters. Constant adjustments have been required to accommodate several new frontiers such as the impact of Covid, changes from State to Federal awards, and a shift for many businesses that experienced massive growth, sparking the need for major overhauls with their Industrial Relations, staffing and policy matters. This growth has also seen many organisations needing to make change but found themselves hamstrung with the complexities of inflexible awards, pushback from staff that don’t share the corporate vision, or understand the need to evolve past practices that were often designed 10 or even 20 years ago when the lay of the land was very different. What follows is the decision makers finding themselves in a state of flux, unable to capitalise and quickly move forward with the times, often stuck with a workforce more interested in maintaining the status quo and doing just enough to get by, rather than embracing the upsides and efficiencies that progress and innovation has to offer. As a highly experienced and accomplished HR professional, I pride myself on being able to quickly identify key issues and implement solutions that drive a high performing culture of success, initiative, and employee engagement, with a best practice approach for long term sustainable outcomes that protects the business and key stakeholders.
