About Stephen Labriola

STEPHEN T. LaBriola has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating of AV. He is a former prosecutor with extensive jury trial experience. He has litigated extensively in federal and State courts in Georgia and numerous other jurisdictions in the United States. He is a Master with and Past President of the Lamar Inn of Court, a group of experienced trial attorneys who present continuing legal education seminars and workshops in conjunction with Emory University School of Law. He is a Past Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section. His peers have identified him as a "Super Lawyer" and among "Georgia's Legal Elite". Mr. LaBriola received his J.D. degree from New York University (NYU) School of Law in 1985 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Colorado, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received the Chancellor's Recognition Award for Academic Excellence for graduating with a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale for all semesters. Immediately following law school he served as a law clerk for two justices on the Colorado Supreme Court, and in the mid-eighties, he prosecuted numerous cases as a Deputy District Attorney in Denver, Colorado, prior to moving to Atlanta and joining one of Atlanta's top 10 largest law firms. In 1993, he and a handful of other attorneys formed his current firm. While Mr. LaBriola was a prosecutor, he tried more than 50 jury trials. He also has tried jury trials in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and in Georgia State and Superior Courts, and he successfully has argued in the Georgia appellate courts.
