About Stephen Morin

Over 30 years’ professional research and development experience, 21 years with USAID as a Commissioned Foreign Service Officer, four with an academic affiliation, and five with an international research organization. Technical areas of expertise include micro- and macro-economics, finance, climate smart and productive agriculture, carbon neutral energy, business development services, macroeconomic policy and regulatory reform, trade, and mitigation and adaptation in agriculture. Detailed understanding of USAID's procurement, implementation, strategic, and learning processes in Washington and bilateral missions. Experience in a range of social science topics including, qualitative and quantitative analysis of research results, program management and budgeting, assessing programmatic effectiveness, developing briefers and reports, and tracking progress against milestones. Managed staff and resources in a variety of professional settings in the US, the Middle East, East and West Africa, and Asia. Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology (University of Kentucky, 1997)
