I have spent nearly a decade as a legal advocate, working on the frontlines of law based anti-poverty reform in British Columbia. As Advocacy Lead of Together Against Poverty Society (TAPS), I have worked to highlight legislative inequality with a focus on achieving lasting systems change though community building, the courts and in the political realm. Through my work, the aims has always been to advance a rights-based analysis to the challenges posed by needless poverty. When not at work you can find me at a rally, in the forest, on the sea, or in the kitchen. I am currently on leave from TAPS working through a Journalism Fellowship at the Munk School of Global Affairs.
