About Stephen Prica

I am currently a Senior Financial Analyst with Best Buy supporting the Digital, Analytics and Technology operations. My main responsibilities are to support business leaders within the department and provide them with quick and accurate budget and forecast data to allow them to drive decisions and maintain a healthy business operation. I also will be providing support during the upcoming budget season preparing for the next fiscal year. Prior to joining Best Buy, I was the Accounting Manager with Zerorez of MN. My main responsibility in this position is financial statement preparation and expense management for our three franchise locations. I also worked exclusively with inventory and the improvement of our inventory systems, cash flow management, revenue forecasting and budget creation, among other monthly tasks. I also worked on various projects within the accounting/finance space, as well as helping out the operations teams. These included compensation plan analysis/implementation and data migration of a different franchise from Quickbooks into our Traverse accounting system. I was a member of the leadership team within the company helping to advance the company. Before Zerorez, I spent a year with Johnson Brothers Liquor Distributor as a corporate staff accountant. I gained vast knowledge with financial statement preparation, cash reconciliation, and inventory systems. I graduated in May 2018 from Lake Superior State University in Michigan with my Bachelors degree in accounting. I graduated in May 2021 from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota with my MBA with a specialization in Finance. As a former collegiate athlete, I am a strongly motivated, driven, and trainable individual. I have used many experiences from my athletics to shape myself into a strong leader and great team member. I have some brief public accounting experience from my internship the summer before my senior year in college with a CPA firm in my hometown.
