About Stephen Shine

I have more than 10 years’ experience in Financial Services, having worked for the Financial Ombudsman Service for most of that time. I have developed a deep knowledge of the insurance industry while resolving complaints about a variety of products and issues and has extensive knowledge of the industry rules and regulations. In my previous role, I was responsible for quality assurance of insurance work at the Financial Ombudsman Service, using Lean techniques to identify and drive continuous improvement. I have experience of planning, coordinating and taking part in projects based around changes to people, processes and technology - bringing knowledge from my PRINCE2 and Agile qualifications to life. I have a strong knowledge of technology and digital development, having developed knowledge tools to deal with thousands of complaints in a consistent and efficient way. I'm passionate about identifying and introducing improvements that benefit both customers and employees. And I firmly believe in engaging everyone in the change journey to bring about sustainable results.
