About Steve Chiumento
For the last 5 years I have been working on biotechnologies with high potential for health. In particular, I worked on the characterization of peptides with high potential against antibiotic resistant bacteria and on the purification and use of EVs as therapeutic agents (therapeutic vectors or vaccines). My different professional experiences have allowed me to develop skills in biochemistry, chemistry and biology. This allowed me to learn various purification and characterization techniques (HPLC, FPLC, SEC, affinity, IEC, NMR, mass spectrometry, spectrophotometry, ELISA, WB.). I am convinced that the synergy between these three fields is essential for the development of new therapies. These experiences has also allowed me to develop transversal skills, such as project and team management, oral and written communication tools that have allowed me to grow professionally and personally.
