Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and have been a member of IOSH for over 18 years and currently Graduate level. Currently Working as a health and safety enforcement officer (Grad IOSH) for the local authority. Dealing with high risk inspections, accident investigations from riddor reports including fatalities and take appropriate actions such as improvement and prohibition notices along with seizures of evidence and unsafe working equipment, general hs complaints, licensing and primary authority. Ensuring public safety within commercial premises and events. I investigate Riddor reports and ensure appropriate steps are taken to prevent reoccurrence and take appropriate Enforcement action where required. I organise and implement joint working operations with police, immigration enforcement and London fire brigade and have a good connection with these teams to ensure accurate intelligence and successful working operations. I have managed the health and safety team and deal with time sheets, sickness levels, appraisals, training and work allocation. I also provide information and presentations on primary authority and advise businesses accordingly on their safety needs and work towards appropriate business plans. I organise and carry out Enforcement inspections and with active warrants on premises to ensure the health and safety at work act 1974 is adhered to along with associated legislation. I conduct risk assessments and fire risk assessments and implement appropriate remedial actions where appropriate to ensure staff and public safety. I have extensive Health & Safety experience in Retail, commercial premises and warehouse environments where the safety of members of the public are a key focus. I prepare legal case files and gather evidence and conduct interviews under caution PACE in preparation for court cases and prosecutions. I write and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures and review these with Management on a annual basis.
