An experienced Lead Telecommunications Network Specialist with a proven award winning history of working in the rapidly changing telecommunications industry. The go to guy to provide "last stop" quick fixes to critical service affecting outages as well as to provide quick fix solutions to technical obstructions to new customer circuits or systems being installed within the Verizon footprint. I was often the "calm in the storm", taking charge and driving outages to quick resolution, coordinating resources to ensure the quickest resolution possible. Very focused on my role of providing and maintaining the highest quality network for Verizon, I approached the responsibility with tenacity from a variety of angles: I developed and delivered training to the Network Operations Center (NOC) responsible for survelling and maintaining the network, the Network Provisioning center (NPC), responsible for implementing and installing new services for customers of Verizon and to my fellow colleagues, responsible for the "quick fix" and long term resolution; I joined and became an instrumental member of the Transport Functional Team (TFT), a management team of experts from all aspects of Verizon that install, provision and maintain the network. As a member of the TFT team we met semi-annually to discuss the health of the existing and future network for Verizon which often led to projects and project teams to ensure that we continue to deliver the best network in the industry. I am skilled in multiple facets of the telecommunications industry including (but not limited to): SONET multiplexers, Dense Wave Division Multiplexers, Ethernet services, fiber optics infrastructure, central office timing, Strategic Partnerships, team building, and management. A strong professional with 21 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant, earned a Bachelor of Technical Education degree (BTE) focused in Curriculum development from National University.
