About Steven Grover

Steven Grover engages is an academic leader of research-led business schools as deputy dean and head of management departments. He facilitates consensus among business school staff members to improve academic programmes, recruit students, achieve accreditation, and lift research productivity and impact. Among those endeavours are the re-creation of postgraduate programmes to boost student engagement and income and an overhaul of an undergraduate core curriculum. He led the Management Department at Otago from last place to first in subsequent national research assessment exercises (PBRF) by attracting top quality international staff members and creating a research-supportive work environment. He models research productivity and contribution with a substantial research record of publication on the importance of honesty, trust, and respect in organizations with over citations to his work and an H- index of 31.He is the consummate business researcher and teacher, with extensive experience as an executive educator and public speaking at corporate events and community organizations, and his research attracts coverage in the popular media, including The Age and The Economist.Steven currently leads a large Management Department at Macquarie University, with over 50 academic staff members and students spread across undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and online MBA, which together generate $40 million revenue a year. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he continues to research in the area of honesty, trust, and respect in organizations and to supervise PhD students in those areas.
