About Steven Henry

As a creative collaborator and art director, I strive to elevate the vision of stakeholders and content creators by aligning teams around effective visual storytelling. Nick Jr, PBS Kids, Microsoft, Disney Jr. and Mattel are a few of the brands I've worked with to develop interactive experiences for kids. As a children's book artist, I've illustrated over a dozen children's books for Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, Scholastic, Bloomsbury and Chronicle. I was a consultant and provided art direction for Ella The Elephant, a 2014 Disney Jr. TV series based on a collection of books I illustrated for Scholastic. I've also produced illustration work for a variety of exhibits at learning centers and museums in the U.S. and abroad, partnering with Belle & Wissell and AldrichPears on projects for the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, MoPoP in Seattle, and the Sheik Zayed Desert Learning Centre in Saudi Arabia. My Photoshop and Procreate illustration skills are expert-level. I'm proficient with Illustrator, InDesign, and Keynote. For prototyping, I favor Sketch, Marvel and InVision.
