About Steven Hunter

I'm a results-oriented professional committed to fostering meaningful connections and facilitating collaboration among individuals. I have demonstrated versatility through diverse roles in youth education, hospitality, and service in AmeriCorps. I recognize the value of my previous experiences in cultivating a comprehensive skill set encompassing problem-solving, leadership, communication, and project management. I naturally work to improve my work environment, placing a high priority on efficiency and functionality. As an AmeriCorps Fellow at Friends of Gateway Green (FoGG), I worked to improve their volunteer recruitment/management systems, developed educational/promotional marketing materials, planned a variety of events, and connected other community leaders to the organization. I'm adept at high-level, collaborative projects and welcome opportunities to exchange free thought on new, innovative ideas to improve a community or system. As the STEP Program Coordinator with Third City Coalition, I facilitated community meetings and presentations, planned community events, and created promotional/outreach materials about the project. I have several years of experience within the hospitality industry, with particular emphasis within hotels and resorts. Through my time in hospitality, I have learned exceptional interpersonal abilities that foster effective communication and relationship cultivation, especially within a team. I have a demonstrated track record in managing high-pressure scenarios and efficiently resolving challenges when they arise.
