About Steven Kearney

I’m a support professional transitioning into the Networking field, combining 6+ years of SLA-driven customer and product support with hands-on technical learning through my home lab and CCNA studies. In my current role in automotive product support (non-IT), I’ve built a strong foundation in troubleshooting, ticketing systems, process documentation, and leading high-performance teams in a contact center environment. Outside of work, I maintain an Unraid-based home lab where I run virtual machines, network monitoring (Uptime Kuma with Discord webhooks), Tailscale VPN for secure remote access, and custom automation scripts. This lab gives me daily practice with networking concepts, tools, and troubleshooting beyond theory. I am actively pursuing the CCNA certification and am seeking opportunities as a Tier 1/2 NOC Technician, Junior Network Administrator, Junior Network Engineer, or helpdesk role with networking responsibilities. I’m flexible with nights, weekends, and 24/7 rotations, and I’m eager to contribute while continuing to grow in the field.
