About Stuart Hope
After working in the fire protection industry for 7 years from 1985 it became apparent to me that building owners, architects, cost planners and other engineers needed more information relating to fire protection at a much earlier stage in the design process than the standard design/build regime allowed. I therefore created Protech Design Ltd in 1992 to provide design for the fire protection contractors and also directly to clients and architects. Over the last 2 decades there has been significant research and development undertaken relating to fire sprinkler systems - especially in storage facilities. The design of storage buildings, structures, building services and racking systems are all integrated with the fire sprinkler design therefore these design parameters must be determined at the concept design stage. This is where we add significant value to projects. Specialties: Specialist Fire Protection Design including fire sprinkler systems, manual and automatc fire alarm systems, building and site hydrant systems, pump stations and hand-held fire protection.
