About Sumimol Sebastian

I am an experienced, passionate multi-lingual Public Health professional with a background in paediatric nursing and health promotion. Equipped with 15years experience across clinical, research and community settings. I have always been passionate about supporting and empowering communities. This is what led me to return to studies as a working and mother and successfully completed a Master of Public Health from The University of Melbourne. This has enhanced my understanding for Public Health and Safety, especially in regards to developing and delivering policies, programs and services that support and enhance the wellbeing of communities. My mission is to create awareness among people from diverse communities about the myriad of services and support systems available to them. Also, to create an awareness among service providers, about unrecognised barriers preventing many from migrant and adverse backgrounds to navigate the available services. My values inspire me to take a stand against RACISM,GENDER BIAS and DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. It took me a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I want to use it in the right pitch. I welcome all invitations to connect and network. I believe, the goodwill of many can definitely make an impact.
