About Sunil Marella

I am an observability technical lead with over 15 years of engineering experience, currently working at NN Group, a leading insurance and asset management company. I oversee and lead a team of engineers focused on building and maintaining observability systems and practices within the organization, using cutting-edge tools and technologies such as Splunk, AppDynamics, AWS, and DevOps.My mission is to enable the engineering organization to gain insights and understand the internal state and behavior of complex systems, such as software applications or distributed systems. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement observability goals, strategies, and standards, and to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our systems. I have a proven track record of designing and implementing Splunk and AppDynamics-based solutions, configuring and troubleshooting across a variety of platforms, and creating reports, dashboards, forms, visualizations, and alerts. I also have extensive knowledge and experience in observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk O11y. I am passionate about delivering engineering innovation and excellence in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
