About Surendra Bhatta

Mr. Surendra Bhatta is an international development and management professional with more than 20 years of work experience in Eleven countries in Asia (Nepal, Burma, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Tajikistan, India), Africa (Liberia, Mozambique, DR Congo ) and USA. Mr. Bhatta has successfully lead and directed a wide-range of complex development initiatives dealing with economic growth, livelihood, food security, Feed the Future (FtF) initiative, market systems, public-private partnerships, agribusiness and value chain strengthening, research, resilience, EIAs and monitoring & evaluation. Expert in project design and oversight (USAID projects), he has worked with several USAID missions and their development partners, host government and private sector to develop and implement strategies, project plans, performance monitoring, assessments and evaluations, and compliance with USG procedures, guidelines and regulations. He is trained COR and PMP. A team player with multidisciplinary education {MA in Sustainable Intl' Development (USA); MBA (Nepal); BE Civil Engg.(India)} and very skillful in identifying opportunities, He has designed multiple projects, established partnerships, and programmatic alliances.
