About Susan Holub

I have loved to be around people and learn new things for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a house full of people that loved books and the outdoors. Those values remain with me to this day. I love being able to share my creativity with people. In addition, I enjoy being able to ignite in them the desire to create things themselves and a sense of pride at a job well done; to always strive for their best. The most enjoyable part of my job is giving a classroom full of students the same project and seeing how they can turn it in to a multitude of different ideas and solutions. As an educator, it is my job to make sure that students are given the ability to experience content on many levels and formats. I also make sure that they have skills that transfer to other classes and life experiences. Students experience a rigorous curriculum that finds it's basis in State Standards. I write the curriculum for students grade 8-12, and also taught in the Special Education classroom for 4 years. During that time I collaborated closely with peers, parents, and students. The skills that I have developed as an educator in one of the state's top school systems are skills that are applicable to many different situations. I regularly manage and facilitate large groups of people. Sometimes the students are working on individual projects and sometimes they are working collaboratively. I myself collaborate with colleagues to ensure that students are getting the best education possible. In addition, I can readily follow direction and guidance given to me by our administrators. I can deconstruct documents to determine crucial components. Being an educator in the public schools has taught me to juggle multiple projects and still meet deadlines. I am skilled with Microsoft Word, Google Chrome, Photoshop, Remind, and Social Media.
