About Susanna M.

As a committed advocate for free speech and secularism, Susanna McIntyre has dedicated her career to leading and developing impactful non-profit initiatives. Currently, she serves as a Development Associate at the AHA Foundation, where she utilizes her project management skills and expertise in advocacy to drive meaningful change. Parallel to this, she holds the position of President & CEO at Atheist Republic, steering the organization towards greater global impact. Her journey in non-profit leadership is marked by significant achievements, including managing international teams, enhancing financial transparency and efficiency, and spearheading advocacy campaigns that resonate on an international level. Her role at Atheist Republic has been particularly transformative, involving elevating the charity rating, securing refugee status for persecuted free-thinkers, effectively liaising with government officials to pass legislation as well and advocate for individuals persecuted for blasphemy. In the realm of technology and innovation, Susanna brings a unique blend of skills from completing a Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp. This experience has not only broadened her technical acumen but also enabled her to create projects like Operation Iranian Renaissance – a multilingual platform supporting freedom-fighting Iranians in a shrinking civil space. With a foundation in psychology and a flair for research, her background is diverse. From coordinating academic symposiums to handling complex projects in a high-demand research laboratory, her roles have consistently demanded strategic thinking, effective communication, and adaptability. Her commitment to free speech and secular values is unwavering. Susanna is passionate about promoting the values of classical liberalism in dangerous countries, teaching critical thinking tools, and creating environments where diverse viewpoints are both respected and challenged. Through her work, she aims to defend and advocate for the rights and freedoms that underpin a fair and open society. In her free time, she likes to volunteer with the Iranian-American community, learn Spanish and Persian, and dance with the toddlers in the local drum circle.
