About Susannah Hyman

I joined White Cube as an intern in and was fortunate to join at a time when the gallery was expanding to its (now closed) gallery White Cube Hoxton and in advance of the opening of White Cube Mason’s Yard in London’s West End in 2006. Since 2002, I have coordinated exhibitions across White Cube’s galleries in London, Paris, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Seoul and New York, for artists such as David Hammons, Damien Hirst, Anselm Kiefer, Gabriel Orozco, Christian Marclay, Julie Mehretu, Isamu Noguchi, Doris Salcedo and Danh Vo, as well as major curated shows Structure & Absence, Dreamers Awake and Memory Palace. I have also worked alongside internationally renowned curators Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Suzanne Cotter and Adriano Pedrosa on talks, exhibitions and symposia both for White Cube and for external institutions. Further to my work in exhibition coordination, I have managed the careers of a variety of gallery artists as an Artist Liaison, working closely with artists and museums such as the Fondation Beyeler, Switzerland, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, Palazzo Grassi, Venice, Tate, London and the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam on the implementation of focussed presentations, mid-career surveys and retrospectives.
