About Suzanne Flinchbaugh

I am passionately committed to the concept that ideas matter. In particular, I love the "wait! what?" moment, when students or program participants suddenly grasp "it." It's not always easy getting to that ah-ha moment, but I am adept at identifying the kernel of the idea that helps clarify the action plan. I enjoy developing and managing programs, translating ideas into actionable projects, nurturing the necessary to-dos and follow throughs, and nailing the details. Although I am comfortable in many fields, I have expertise in political science and public policy topics, including public administration and management,(both US and global), particularly comparative; international relations, democratization, international studies; security and intelligence studies; and homeland security. I have also developed a facility with humanities topics such as literary criticism and early European history.
