About Suzanne Wheeler

I am combining my passion for the outdoors with my talents and education to help children reach their full potential by creating the opportunity for them to experience the wonders and lessons of living and learning in the outdoors. A thirty-year career as an Army officer and nearly a decade of non-profit experience provides me with an extensive background as a servant leader. I am a talented strategist, and my operational skills include a strong background in budget management, fundraising, event planning, change management, staff development, board development, community relations, public policy, DEI development, training, and programming. I am a dedicated activist for veterans, conservation, and equal rights. When I am not at work or dedicating time to advocacy, you will likely find me exploring the backcountry in my jeep, camping, training brittany hunting dogs, photographing the outdoors, stalking trout in a cold stream, or upland bird hunting with friends and family.
