About Tamara Queiroz

With over 15 years of experience in soccer, I’ve transitioned from a professional player to a dedicated coach and sports manager. Currently serving as the Graduate Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at West Virginia State University, I bring a wealth of experience in coaching, leadership, and team management. As a former player, I had the privilege of winning the Campeonato Brasileiro and Copa do Brasil with Ferroviária de Esportes, along with earning NJCAA All-American First Team honors two times and the NJCAA National Tournament Offensive MVP during my college years. These experiences have shaped my coaching philosophy, which is centered on teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement. I’m passionate about developing athletes, not just in their technical skills but also in their personal growth. I thrive in coaching roles where I can create positive, high-performance environments that support both individual and team success. Currently pursuing an M.S. in Sports Studies at West Virginia State University, I’m further honing my knowledge of sports management, coaching strategies, and leadership. With a background in Business Administration and Sports Recreation Management, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the operational side of sports, from event management to team logistics and performance analysis. My goal is to continue advancing in sports management and coaching, helping athletes reach their full potential while contributing to the growth of the sports community.
