I am passionate about improving the health and well-being of my community as a Senior Applications Business Analyst. Recognized for driving seamless connections between IT systems and their end-users, I deliver positive patient and business outcomes by gathering data, analyzing data, and then presenting the results in an efficient and streamlined system. My hard work ethic, strategic mindset, and dedication to life-long learning contributes to my career success. I began my career in healthcare as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician before I embarked on my lifelong educational journey. I possess an Associate Degree, a Bachelor's Degree, and an MBA, graduating with high honors in each program. Currently, I am taking coursework in Social-Emotional Learning and Coaching to help me grow personally and professionally. With upward career progression, from entry-level analyst positions to my current role as an Application Business Analyst, as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician, I uniquely understand the end-user and the problems they face. I speak the language, understand the issues, and know the instruments they interface with. I troubleshoot, identify, implement, and solve technical problems. I am the change that I want to see in healthcare and the workplace. I support teams and facilitate cooperation throughout departments to provide a seamless and holistic healing experience for my patients. While I have limited patient contact, I collaborate with laboratory staff and hospital staff to improve patient outcomes. I am proud of my accomplishments and how they have helped doctors diagnose patients faster, leading to better patient care. For example, I helped reduce specimen errors from an average of 12 per year out of ~1500 daily specimens to less than one per year by introducing, implementing, deploying, and training a new streamlined collection and documentation system. Not only have my efforts helped patients, but they also help the bottom line. I helped save a combined $400K per year on lab fees by directing the rebuild of a reference lab test library. I transitioned data to a local vendor, conducted validations, and built a test system to expedite results so doctors could treat patients faster. With 13 awards in recognition of exceptional performance in leadership, service, and teamwork, along with my technical background, compassionate outlook, and intellectually curious nature, I possess a solid foundation for continued career success.
