About Tausha Pearson

I have spent the last two decades studying and building programs that work—for people in recovery, families in poverty, and the communities meant to support them. As a nonprofit leader and social work strategist, my focus has always been on systems: designing them, improving them, and holding them accountable. I specialize in creating pathways at the mezzo level—where policy meets real people—and building the infrastructure required to make those pathways sustainable. In 2014, I founded Haiti Mama, the first nonprofit in Haiti focused on family reunification and job creation for mothers. We partnered with Haitian Social Services to close orphanages, launch family-based care, and create employment for hundreds of women. More recently, I led Welcome House in rural Minnesota, where I opened Otter Tail County’s first women’s recovery residence and scaled a social enterprise that tripled its revenue in under three years. My leadership style is informed by my early work on Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams—where the stakes were high, the collaboration was critical, and the communication had to be clear. I’ve carried that same clarity and structure into every program I’ve built since. I’m especially passionate about using technology to modernize nonprofit operations and reduce barriers to access. Outdated systems waste time, talent, and public trust. I am seeking an Executive Director role with a mission-driven organization positioned for growth. I bring a track record of building from the ground up, navigating complex partnerships, and leading teams with both accountability and care.
