About Tawan Arun

Tawan is a webdesigner-developper, multimedia author and film director, who lives and works in France and Germany. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts Berlin-Weissensee. DESGINER AND WEB DEVELOPPER Since 2004, Tawan has been making divers websites and new media projects: VR, XR, web-documentary. Tawan is co-founder of IDFABRIK with whom he works for TV channels (Arte, Tv5monde), theater companies (Rimini Protokoll), film festivals, music labels and museums. He also works on Portfolio websites for artists (Ulysses Belz), architects (Weber and Keiling), photographers (Alex Jordan), artisans (jurg leibacher.) FIlM DIRECTOR Tawan also works as filmdirector. In 2008, he presented his fvideo and photographic installation VAN-VANNES at the Festival Pleins Feux sur Ivry and at the ARD-Hauptstadtstudio in berlin. In 2010, his experimental film DIE TRÄGHEIT DER MATERIE was presented at the Kleist Museum in Frankfurt (Oder). In 2009, he created PERIPHERY EXPLORER, a multimedia photographic work exhibited in Paris at the Espace TRANS305. With Joris Rühl, he created his first web-documentary PORTRAITS DE FRONTIÈRES published by TV5Monde (Prix multimédia du journalism 2013) presented in many festivals such as the Dok Leipzig, Prix Europa or RIDM (Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal). Since 2014, he teaches at the Berlin School of Fine Arts Weissensee. In 2018, he complete his film NE SOUS LA TABLE and GEORGES in 2020 (produced by The Kingdom). In 2019, with the support of the Agence Culturelle Grand Est, he is developing his documentary film DES ESPRITS, DES REVENANTS (shooting in Thailand).
